The Computer Recycling Project aims to ensure that no useable computer equipment is thrown away on campus. We take computer equipment that would otherwise be scrapped and offer it to charities, departments, staff and students with any profits raised being donated to charity.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, The Computer Recycling Project is no longer affiliated with YUSU. In order not to let remaining stock be unecessarily destroyed, we will continue to operate at reduced capacity. If you wish to contact us, we remain available at comprec.york@googlemail.com.

We've got loads of PCs in the 2.5GHz+ range. If you're looking for something in particular, come down and see us. We might not have what you want but people rarely leave empty handed.

We accept most desktop PCs over 2GHz. Please email us about slower machines, as it is much harder for us to shift them.

Scanners & Printers

  • We've got several laser or inkjet printers around all sold with some ink.
  • We also have a number of flatbed and autofeed scanners in stock.

    • Cables

    If you need a cable, chances are we've got one. We have a good supply ranging from kettle leads to network cables. We may even stock a few SATA/USB/Firewire cables on occasion. Come in or contact us to see what we have.
